A delegation from the Lower Saxony Parliament’s Tourism Subcommittee Visits the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority

This morning the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority welcomed a delegation from the Tourism Subcommittee of the Lower Saxony Parliament, led by MP Axel Miesner. The visit is part of a fact-finding mission focused on tourism, sustainability, and territorial governance.

During the meeting, North Adriatic Sea Port Authority presented the transformation pathway of the Venice–Chioggia system, with a particular focus on the evolution of the cruise sector and the ongoing actions aimed at making maritime tourism more sustainable and higher quality. In particular, the Authority showcased the new sustainable cruise development model, the system of wide spread moorings, current infrastructure investments, green projects, and European initiatives, including Adrijoroutes and Cross Connect—territorial cooperation projects funded under the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme.

The delegation also showed strong interest in the cultural and innovative dimension of the Authority’s projects, especially the new tourist itineraries promoted through the Virtual Museum of the Ports of Venice and Chioggia App and the Adrijoroutes platform.

The meeting represented an important opportunity for institutional dialogue and for the exchange of best practices on key issues shaping the future of port cities and European tourist destinations.
