On Sunday,April 12, the 46th edition of Su e Zo per i Ponti di Venezia took place with strong participation, an eagerly awaited event for residents, families, and schools. Once again this year, the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority supported the organization of the event together with TGS Eurogroup, renewing a long-standing partnership that has lasted for over twenty years.
The waterfront from Santa Marta to San Basilio once again proved to be one of the liveliest and most visited parts of the entire route. Despite the presence of ongoing construction sites in the area, organizational and logistical adjustments ensured the event ran smoothly and safely, offering participants a scenic passage along the Giudecca Canal before entering the municipal areas.
The San Basilio area played a strategic role as a junction between the full route and the shorter route, while Santa Marta hosted the starting point and refreshment area, particularly dedicated to nursery and primary school groups, accompanied by entertainment and music that helped create a festive atmosphere along the entire port waterfront.
There was also great enthusiasm for the return of the mascot Faro De Faris, present for the second consecutive year. The symbolic figure of the Authority’s educational and outreach activities enlivened the morning by engaging children and their families, confirming the strong bond between the Port and the community.
The large participation and the successful outcome of the event once again highlight the value of collaboration between institutions and the local area, confirming Su e Zo as one of the most significant events of the Venetian spring.
