The Advisory Commission has an advisory role when it comes to decisions about granting, suspending, or revoking authorizations and concessions mentioned in articles 16, 17, and 18. Additionally, it provides advice on matters related to port operations, company staffing, the recruitment of employees, and the professional training of workers.
The Advisory Commission is composed of five representatives of workers from companies operating in the port, one representative of workers from the Port Authority, and one representative from each of the following entrepreneurial categories operating in the port: Shipowners; Industrialists; Entrepreneurs as per articles 16 and 18; Freight forwarders; Maritime agents and brokers; and Port-related hauliers.
The Advisory Commission for the Port of Venice was established by a decree from the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility on October 18, 2021 (click here).
The Advisory Commission for the Port of Chioggia was established by a decree from the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility on November 12, 2021 (click here).
