The Functional Structure is based on five line units and one Staff unit, to which tasks are assigned that allow identifying its function and responsibilities

The Directions

The line functions, which group homogeneous activities, are led by Directors with specialized skills typical of the Structures they oversee. Other units (areas) that are responsible for the operational performance of assigned activities depend on these line functions. Each Director translates the company’s strategy into operational objectives, provides action guidelines, evaluates employee performance, and interacts systemically with other functions.

The staff functions, on the other hand, report directly to the company’s top management, with cross-functional tasks benefiting the organization as a whole.

Each line or staff unit is assigned personnel divided by professional profile and distributed by level based on the classification provided by the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Port Workers.
