The Port of Venice is accessible 24/7 throughout the year. Equipped with a railway network of 65 km of tracks, defined as a railway district by the Ordinance NASPA no. 3/2017 of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, it is directly connected to the national railway and highway networks and the TEN-T corridors.

Three accesses (the port entrance of Malamocco, S. Nicolò and Chioggia) allow the entry of cargo and passenger ships to the ports of Marghera, Venice and Chioggia.

The Ports of Venice and Chioggia are connected to the national and European road network (Baltic-Adriatic and Mediterranean corridors) and can count on an internal road network of 45 km.

The Ports of Venice and Chioggia are the only ones in Italy that are also river ports and allow the forwarding of goods through the internal navigation network that runs along the Po Valley.

The Port of Venice has over 45 km of internal railway network, its own freight yard, and connects with the rest of Europe internationally relevant railway corridors.
