The ports of Venice and Chioggia celebrate the women maritime day promoted by the IMO-International Maritime Organization, and proudly show some of our many professionals who are engaged every day in several activities nurishing the ports of Venice and Chioggia both at a public and private level.
According to IMO Secretary General Kitack Lim, in addition to working to ensure an effective gender balance, there is also the need to increasingly recognize the contribution of female human capital that operates both on board and on land, within all the areas of the logistic chain linked to maritime transport. And the most immediate way is to give visibility starting from this international celebration.
