The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, which manages the ports of Venice and Chioggia, took part in the industry event “Shipping, Transport & Intermodal Forum”, promoted by Telenord in collaboration with the Propeller Club Port of Genoa, held in Rapallo on 29 and 30 January.
This year’s edition of the forum, entitled “New ‘Boundaries’ Limiting and Shaping Operations: Challenges Only, or Opportunities as Well?”, provided an important opportunity to discuss the complex geopolitical landscape, the pressure of the ecological transition, and ongoing regulatory and digital developments — issues that are structurally transforming the way goods and people move around the world.
Representing the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Sebastiano Ferrara, Director of the Digital and Innovation Department, spoke on the second day during the first panel session, titled “Geopolitics and the Ongoing Evolution of the ‘Security Paradigm’: Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience to Ensure the Safety of Maritime and Land Transport and Infrastructure”, held on Friday, 30 January. The opening day featured speeches by the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Edoardo Rixi, the Mayor of Rapallo, Elisabetta Ricci, as well as the event promoters, Massimiliano Monti, publisher of Telenord, and Giorgia Boi, President of the Propeller Club Port of Genoa.
