Exceptional Unloading at Porto Marghera

The unit, of exceptional dimensions —47 meters long, 4.60 meters in diameter, and weighing 80 tonnes—was a single-piece structure, requiring careful and precise logistical planning for its handling.
The transport operation, in fact, required “tailor-made”  solutions, such as identifying a dedicated area suitable both in terms of overhead clearance constraints and proper weight distribution along the road route.
The operation was successfully completed thanks to the involvement of highly qualified and specialized operators, including CTS Trasporti, MSC Lift & Transport, Agenzia Minucci, and Nuova CLP, under the coordination of North Adriatic Sea Port Authority.
Once unloading was complete, the exceptional transport was carried out during the same night, with the column delivered to the biorefinery on schedule and in accordance with the client’s requirements.
