On 2 and 3 December, the PharmacomItalia Annual Conference took place at the Venezia Heritage Tower in Porto Marghera. PharmacomItalia is a community of technicians and experts specialising in the end-to-end management of pharmaceutical products. The aim of the conference is to foster the development of professional skills in the pharmaceutical logistics sector, addressing its technological, infrastructural and sustainability-related aspects.
AdSPMAS has welcomed the proposal to host the event in Marghera recognising the opportunity to support the pharmaceutical sector, which in the long term could play a significant role not so much in terms of volumes, but rather in terms of social value. Furthermore, the multipurpose of the Veneto Port System has the opportunity to be enhanced by the addition of another sector.
This two-day, training-focused event also featured, among others, a presentation by the Director of Operational Coordination, Gianandrea Todesco, who outlined the assets of the lagoon ports and the specific characteristics that place them in a favourable position for pharmaceutical logistics.
