The Digital and Innovation Department is composed of three units. It is responsible for ICT management and oversees activities related to the Authority’s archival, library and records management services.
Department Responsibilities
The Department is responsible for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) management, that is the management of IT resources and the maintenance and development of the hardware and software components of internal IT systems, in order to ensure the operational continuity of deployed applications and supporting digital transformation.
It also oversees the operational and system management of internal IT infrastructures, applications and platforms, ensuring business continuity, disaster recovery and data backup for the Authority.
The Department defines the evolutionary guidelines of ICT systems in line with the Authority’s strategic objectives and in compliance with national and European Union e-government plans.
It guides and coordinates the development and implementation of the information system in relation to the Authority’s institutional responsibilities, the services provided to external users, and additional internal support services.
The Department is also responsible for collecting and analyzing the computerization needs of the Authority’s processes and procedures, as well as those of the maritime cluster, arising from technical assessments linked to technological developments and proposals for process improvement.
Lastly, it manages activities related to the Authority’s archival, library and records management services.
