Venice, 14th July 2025 – Following his appointment as Special Commissioner of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority – Ports of Venice and Chioggia, Matteo Gasparato stated:
“I would like to thank Matteo Salvini, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, for the trust he has placed in me. The Ports of Venice and Chioggia are a key European port hub and must be enhanced for their role as logistics, industrial, and energy hubs, with the aim of supporting and fostering the growth of the production and employment system in the Northeast and Italy. I also thank President Fulvio Lino Di Blasio for the work he has done and the results achieved. I am confident that we will be able to unlock the extraordinary potential of our ports, thanks to fruitful collaboration with the Maritime Authority and local and regional institutions, constructive dialogue with the Venetian and Chioggia port communities, and efficient integration between the port system and the regional inland ports.”
