Veneto Intermodal is an European project co-financed by the Programme Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), promoted and coordinated by Interporto Quadrante Europa di Verona, involving among the partners Regione Veneto, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and North Adriatic Sea Port Authority.

The aim is to improve the efficiency and integration of the three regional priority nodes (port of Venice, dry ports of Padua and Verona) into the Trans-european Transport Network (TEN-T), in particular into the Mediterranean, Baltic-Adriatic and Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridors crossing the regional territory. Actions will be developed to improve railway accessibility and last-mile connections.

The project is developed within the framework of the Regione Veneto Transport Plan and it is related to the logistics and freight transport sectors. The project has an overall budget of € 4 million, co-financed at 50 %, and it will finish at the end of 2021.

What for the Port of Venice and Chioggia -  The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority will carry out the definitive and executive design of a new railway link inside the commercial port to connect the western part of the port network to the railway station of Marghera Scalo.
