The Port of Venice participates in the 20th Anniversary of the European funding programme INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE
The celebration of the 20th anniversary of the European funding programme INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE is taking place today at Ministry of Transport premises in Berlin: during the opening ceremony, Pino Musolino, President of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, intervenes as the testimonial of the successes initiatives developed through the fundings made available by Central Europe in the past twenty years.
INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE is one of the most important EU programmes for the financial support to strategic initiatives and operations: an "historical" programme that started in 1997 and that since 2000 finances numerous projects launched by our port, among which important studies and market analysis on different sectors supply chains, aimed at expanding services and logistic assets of the Port of Venice.
Programme goals deal with innovation, sustainability, responsible use of environmental resources and transport. And for the latter of these themes, in this 20th anniversary celebration, the Port of Venice has been identified as the most representative testimonial of good planning and managing European resources consistently with the programme mission.
