Second meeting of the InterGreen-Nodes project at the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority

 
Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November 2019, Unioncamere Veneto organizes the second meeting of the InterGreen-Nodes project, co-funded by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme, at the premises of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority.

The project aims to improve the coordination between freight transport operators to increase multimodality through low environmental impact solutions and the development of alignment between regional interests and European recommendations on freight transport and regional development; improve the coordination between planning authorities and freight transport operators to increase multimodality and sustainable transport solutions in central European regions; the exchange of methods, processes and implementations of technological approaches between terminals across the central European Regions.

Within the project, the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority will carry out analyzes, studies and preparatory meetings for the development of new intermodal services to and from the markets of Central Europe. During the meeting the deliverable on the analysis of European, national, regional and local policies for the development of "Green Corridors" will be presented.

The project is coordinated by the Technical University of Applied Sciences of Wiladu, with the involvement of the Department of Territorial Planning of Berlin - Brandenburg, Unioncamere Veneto, Port of Berlin, Ministry of Energy, Infrastructure and Digitization of the Land Mecklenburg - Vorpommen, North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Freight Village Bologna, Institute for Transport and Logistics Foundation, Pannon Business Network Association, Institute for Transport services, Port of Koper.

The meeting will be attended by Kathrin Schneider, Minister for Infrastructure and Spatial Planning of the Federal State of Brandenburg, who will illustrate the activities of the Scandria®Alliance aimed at implementing a sustainable and multimodal transport system in the Baltic Sea Region and in the regions affected by the Corridor of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Network by 2030.
