The Port of Venice is in a position to act as the European gateway for trade flows to and from Asia.

International activities

 

The Port of Venice has always been an international port.

Today, the Venice Port Authority is involved in numerous internationalisation projects aimed at attracting more flows and improving both infrastructure and connections. In doing so it develops best practices in its different fields of expertise.

The Port's main international activities are associated to its adhesion to the North Adriatic Ports Association (NAPA) and its participation in EU funded projects in the framework of the Trans European Transport Networks (TEN-T), International Cooperation and Research and Development.
