Ferries

Passenger ferries are a lively business in the Port of Venice. Venice is ideally located for connections to the Eastern Mediterranean coasts.

Closing the distance to the Eastern Mediterranean

In addition to the cruise ship market, Venice has decided to invest in ferry shipping. Proving how dynamic and lively this sector is, new routes to Syria and Egypt now flank the traditional and consolidated routes to Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Shipping companies

Minoan Lines, Visemar and Anek Lines operate from Venice year round. Their lines set sail to Corfu, Igoumenitsa and Patras.

Visemar is a Venice-based shipping company that has recently launched two new routes connecting Venice to Tartus in Syria and Alexandria in Egypt.

All operated ships are new and equipped with all the amenities needed to ensure a comfortable journey.

The ferry passenger terminal

Terminal 123 is the terminal for ferry passengers. It is located in the Marittima not far from the centre of Venice.
A dedicated shuttle service is available on the days the ferries arrive in the port to connect the Terminal with Piazzale Roma.
